After being accused of anti-Semitism, Elon Musk has changed the policy of his platform, tightening control on "supporters of Palestine."
This comes after the White House condemned what it described as "vicious promotion" of anti-Semitism by Musk, following his endorsement of a post on "X." Musk expressed agreement with a post stating that "Jews use the same hatred against whites that they ask people to stop using against them." He commented on the post, saying, "I've spoken the truth."
White House spokesperson Andrew Bates accused Musk of "viciously promoting" anti-Semitism, stating, "We condemn in the strongest terms this hateful promotion of anti-Semitism and racial hatred." He emphasized the responsibility of everyone to rally against hatred. In a new development, after giant companies IBM and Disney suspended their commercial ads on "X," Apple, a major advertiser on the social media platform, has also decided to temporarily halt all its ads on the platform. This decision follows Musk's endorsement of anti-Semitic theories, along with reports of Apple's ads being placed alongside "extreme right-wing content" on the platform.
